HNZ Introduces the AW109SP “GrandNew” Light Twin

March 14, 2013/in News /by hnz_admin

HNZ is pleased to announce the arrival of the first AW109SP “GrandNew” light twin helicopter to its fleet (pictured below arriving in Perth, Australia). Three AW109SPs are being introduced to the Australian market and will offer clients outstanding performance, generous cabin space, and the most advanced developments in safety and avionics.

As previously disclosed, beginning in March 2013, HNZ will replace its existing two Eurocopter EC 145 helicopters with the first of three new AgustaWestland AW109SP helicopters. The helicopters will continue to provide contracted Marine Pilot transfer service to Rio Tinto’s iron ore carriers at Dampier and Cape Lambert Ports in West Australia.
All three AW109SPs are expected to be in service by September of 2013.
