OH Technician Apprentice – Airbus
Position Overview
Nampa Valley Helicopters (NVH) is an FAA/EASA Part 145 Repair Station and Airbusapproved “D” Level Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul facility located in Meridian, Idaho.
We are seeking a fulltime Apprentice Technician to support helicopter dynamic component overhaul operations while learning foundational overhaul and maintenance skills. This entrylevel position is designed for mechanically inclined individuals who want to develop handson technical skills and advance into certified Overhaul Technician roles.
Successful candidates may progress into roles such as:
- OH Technician I
- OH Technician II
- FAA Approved Repairman
- Authorized Inspector
Primary Duties
- Perform surface coating removal and component preparation in accordance with NVH standards
- Clean and prepare parts for inspection and overhaul
- Assist technicians with disassembly and maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including parts used, work performed, and inspections completed
- Adhere to applicable aviation regulations, quality standards, and safety protocols
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and optimize maintenance procedures
Required Qualifications & Physical Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to pass a background check and DOT drug/alcohol screening
- Must be able to lift up to 85 lbs. repeatedly, or assist in team lifts of up to 150 lbs.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing, as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous handson mechanical experience
- Trade school or technical training (a plus)
- Interest in pursuing a longterm career in aviation maintenance
